Quex Carriages is constantly seeking to improve the service we provide.
During 2009 we have been preparing two new carriage horses.
'Fitzroy' is a 5 year old Clydesdale cross. He has been broken to harness and has taken to it as if he's been doing it all his life! He has attended various low key events so far this year, but his biggest engagement to date will be to collect Santa and bring him to Quex Park for " A Victorian Christmas".
Fitzroy Will be dressed up with Tinsel and Bells and will be a delight for all involved. His Carriage is a nine seater, painted in red and green with yellow coach lining. Watch this space for photos!
'Pingu' is a twelve year old, beautifully marked, black and white Cob.
She has a hogged mane and a fine, big, strong neck! She was broken to harness this year to take her young owner - Claire, to her sixth form prom.
Claire's mum, Michelle, helped with the breaking process, as Claire had no Idea! She arrived to find her carriage awaiting - with her own horse!!
Pingu has gone on to a number of weddings this season and is proving to be a very popular girl.

Fitzroy is a most handsome fellow! He enjoys his recreation time in the field.
At Quex Carriages we believe that our horses should be able to live as naturally as possible.
They live out in the field all year round, only coming in to the stable the night before work to be washed, brushed and polished to the highest degree!

Fitzroy has to undergoe lots of processess to produce the beautiful white feathers.
